Parker's Organic Range

As mentioned in my Introduction, I have been fortunate enough to do taste-testing at my local Foodworks in Southbank, Brisbane to recommend whether or not they should stock drinks that companies and sale reps have given to them to try.

Parker's Organic drinks were among the drinks I have taste-tested for free.

There range is fantastic, their flavours and mixes surprisingly refreshing and very quenching. Their vision to produce healthy organic fruit drinks without all the nasty stuff is something I admire and love.

This is why my first reviews are going to be the entire range of Parker's Organic drinks that are available at Southbank Foodworks. 

My reviews of the drinks I try are rated on 7 different criteria:

Texture, Taste, Smell, Enjoyability, Refreshment, Price and Design, and are then given an overall score.

The first on my list is the Parker's Iced Tea - White Tea with Nectarine

Parker's Iced Tea - White Tea with Nectarine

Texture: Due to it being an Iced Tea and a Nectarine one at that, this mixture gives it a sort of dry texture to it. By this I mean after you have taken your sip your mouth is left needing more as it has not moistened your mouth. I'm not sure whether this is the White tea or the Nectarine that gives it this texture though but it gets a score of - 4/10

Taste: Though this drink does leave your mouth with a slight dryness and needing more, the taste leaves you wanting more. I can't define what "White Tea" tastes like, but I can confirm that the flavour presented in the drink is definitely a Nectarine flavour. Though not strong, it is a good level of flavour - 7/10

Smell: Just like the taste, the predominate smell is of course Nectarine. It is not a hash smell, its is more a mild sweetness that has a slight warmth about it. As I am writing this in a very cold Winter here in the southern hemisphere the smell reminds me of Summer, and of walking in an Orchard. (OK OK 14 Degrees Celsius may not sound like a very cold winter, yes there is no snow, but it is cold for Brisbane which is in the sub-tropic region of Australia). 7/10

Enjoyability: As this is a new drink for me, I really enjoyed drinking this from beginning to end. I am still debating within myself if the dryness at the end of your drink is intentional to make you want to buy another drink. Don't get me wrong, the drink doesn't leave your mouth feeling like a desert, it is just not as thirst quenching as some of their other drinks. 7/10

Refreshment: It does have a lovely Summer Fruity flavor to it, it does leave me needing some other drink to quench my thirst as I have mentioned above. 6/10

Price: Based on the retail price that Foodworks Southbank is charing, it seems pretty reasonable for a specialised Iced Tea that is not owned by a multi-national corporation.
The price I paid was AU$3.80 for the chilled beverage. 8/10

Design: I absolutely love the design of their logo and labeling.
The Logo is just simply the name of the Company "Parker's". You will notice on my future reviews of their other drinks this same font is used in full with "Parker's Organic".
The font, again is a simple font. But the thing I most love about the design, is that it has a slight Arabic feel to it in the patterned design which flows onto all their Iced Tea range (Just with different colours). 9/10


Overall: Overall this drink is a beautifully created drink both aesthetically and while consuming. It has a lovely "Summer Fruit" feel to it which reminds me of Summer, and it does not have all the preservatives and additives and colouring that the big brand name Iced teas have in them. The only downfall is that I do not feel completely quenched of my thirst after finishing.
