Introduction

Before you start reading my reviews on the new and exciting drinks that are available in this big old world of ours, I thought I would firstly introduce myself, let you know a little about me and why I have started the blog called Drinks Bizarre.

Firstly,

I am a born and bred Kiwi (don't hold that against me) who jumped over the ditch to Australia back in December 2005 with my family. I live in Brisbane, QLD and I love it here.
My Name is Jordan, but all my friends call me Kemo. Don't ask... Really, its not important...
Ok... Ok!!!... If you insist.

As I mentioned above, I am from New Zealand and when I moved to Australia I was in my last year of High School. Of course like most schools, they have their cliques, I somehow joined the group with the nerds who loved to play handball, and the Emo's. (Yes I know... Weird mix)... So a friend came up to me one day and said " You know what would be an awesome name fore you? Kemo... short for Kiwi Emo". Now I'm not emo, but because I was associated with a group of emo's apparently I was one. So now you know... :)

Fast forward a couple of years. I'm now and have been for the last 2 and a half years been working for an Insurance Company. I started out in the Customer Service Department in the Call Centre, but I now work in a specialised team that does back office work as well as support for the call centre staff.

So why blog about Drinks?

Well since working for the insurance company there has been many lunchtimes I have made my way down the street to my local Foodworks (mini-supermarket) to some of their ever-changing and expanding stock of drinks from around Australia and imported from around the World.
Over the past two year my regular appearance has birthed a friendship with the owners and the staff of my local Foodworks. Which has led to me taste-testing new drinks that come in, and recommend whether or not they should stock them.

The second reason is I was inspired one day after spending countless hours on the internet and stumbling onto a video about a guy in California who has a shop called SodaPopStop filled with hundreds of soda's from around the world. This video has inspired me to try as many Soda's and drinks from around the world as I can, and share my experience.

So... here it goes! Feel free to comment on my reviews, and if you end up trying them let me know what you think.
